Founder’s Message

I’m Joseph Feliciano, the founder and lead instructor behind Saugment.

After more than a decade of service in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps and nearly seven years in the private security field, I’ve led teams in investigations, executive protection, and crisis management, supporting high-profile clients including Fortune 500 executives and public figures in complex environments. Along the way, I earned an MBA in Operational Crisis Management, which strengthened my approach to leadership, strategy, and risk reduction.

Through those experiences, I recognized a clear need for training that reflects the realities of the protective profession. Too often, capable individuals enter the field with drive and ambition but lack structured, experience-based guidance.

I founded Saugment to bridge that gap, to provide professionals with grounded, field-tested insight they can apply immediately. My goal isn’t to make learning complex; it’s to make it real. If a single principle from Saugment helps you approach your next assignment with sharper awareness, stronger judgment, or renewed professionalism, then it’s doing exactly what it was designed to do.
